Business Development Specialist


Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business Development Specialist.

QMENTA is a multi-disciplinary science and engineering start-up that has developed an advanced solution for medical imaging for hospitals and pharmaceutical companies, in order to accelerate the clinical trial and study workflows.

Our mission is to organize and quantify imaging information through complex imaging tools in a seamless manner in order to accelerate the discovery and development of cures for brain diseases.

Founded 6 years ago, QMENTA is a rapidly growing venture-backed company. We are currently looking for a Business Development Specialist with at least 3-5 years of experience in such a position, preferably in the healthcare or tech sectors, to join our growing team based in Barcelona.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by presenting the value of QMENTA’s offerings to prospective clients – doctors, researchers, and investigators – from hospitals, pharma companies, and research centers via different online and offline channels including cold-call approaches
  • Understand the pharmaceutical clients’ and clinical doctors’ needs across a range of business functions, including drug discovery, clinical trials, and personalized medicine
  • Build brand awareness & reputation by supporting marketing activities
  • Participate in multi-channel sales & marketing strategies
  • Ensure optimized lead management and CRM
  • Meet high monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Build valuable working relationships and partnerships within the industry and with potential clients
Desired Skills and Experience

We are looking for a results-driven Business Developer to join our growing team. You must have relevant experience working in Business Development. You must be highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the motivation to deliver the highest quality of service, taking the time to fully understand the client’s needs and requirements.

  • At least 3-5 years of sales experience (preferably B2B)
  • Highly self-motivated, target-driven and consistent over-achiever
  • Comfortable with cold-calling
  • Passion for science and/or medicine
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to meet sales goals and deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial
