Bruce Rosen

Bruce Rosen MD, PhD is the Director of the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard Medical School, as well as the Lawrence Lamson Robbins Professor of Radiology at the Harvard Medical School. He is responsible for the development of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging techniques internationally used by the neuroscience community. Moreover, he is one of the principal investigators involved in The Human Connectome project – aiming to use state-of-the-art neuroimaging technologies to visualize the brain and move forward in the discovery of treatments for neurological diseases.  In 35 years, he has become one of the most well-respected and followed figures in academic research of the brain.

Throughout his brilliant career, he also received awards such as the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) gold medal in functional MR imaging in 1997. He was honored as a fellow of ISMRM in 1999 and of the American Institute for Biomedical Engineering in 2006. He was also elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2013, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2016, and invited to join the National Academy of Inventors in 2017.

He is uniquely suited to advise on the development of new algorithms for the analysis of neuroimages and the advancement of the existing platform to respond to the needs of researchers and doctors around the world. Dr. Rosen commented: “QMENTA is focused on translating research into clinical care and improving patient outcomes with its products and expertise. The team designed a platform using the most advanced technologies to provide tools that can make a difference in experts’ day-to-day activities in neuroscience and neurology. They offer a compliant, reliable and efficient solution that enables clear and quantified results using various imaging markers, and deep learning techniques, suitable to use in both clinical trials and research space. The QMENTA platform will bring the neuroscience community together by enabling collaboration on data and algorithms in a reproducible and traceable way, which is one of the biggest challenges that this community is currently facing. QMENTA is the leader in translating state-of-the-art neuroimaging algorithms into clinical trials as well as clinical practice, and it’s a pleasure to serve in this advisory capacity.
