A few weeks ago, QMENTA employees received an invitation from the Pasqual Maragall Foundation to volunteer in an Alzheimer’s study. All they needed us to do was to lie down in a Philips 3T machine for 40 minutes maximum as they were collecting brain data from healthy subjects. This data will be compared to the one they have on patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Quick history of the Foundation

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was founded in 2008 in Barcelona. Pasqual Maragall is a former mayor of Barcelona and a former President of the Government of Catalonia. As he was diagnosed with the disease, he vouched to invest in research in order to accelerate research and discover a treatment.

What’s the Pasqual Maragall Foundation focus of research?

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is fully dedicated to accelerating research on Alzheimer’s disease in order to provide better care for patients and diagnose the disease as early as possible. The end goal of the Foundation is to find a cure for the disease.

The Foundation & QMENTA

We are very proud to have been able to participate in this study, and we are fully committed to support the Foundation’s research thanks to our platform that can help accelerate the scientific discoveries regarding Alzheimer’s disease. At QMENTA, we are aligned with the purpose of finding a treatment for Alzheimer’s and accelerating research!

Thanks to Carles Falcón and Marc Vilanova for welcoming us in the Foundation and taking good care of our brains!
